haha wow the nets working fast today...

was just cleaning out my computer... finding things from ALL over and god knows how old... literally... i had to make a folder called "Random Texts" just to try to organize the mess... amongst it all this is some of what i found:

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing." -Adidas

A carved oak table tells a tale

Of times when kings and queens sipped wine from goblets gold

And the brave would lead their ladies from out the room to arbours cool

A time of valour, and legends born

A time when honour meant much more to a man than life

And the days knew only strife to tell right from wrong through lance and sword

Why, why, can we never be sure till we die

Or have killed for an answer

And my personal favorite:

The following is an actual question given on a University ofWashington engineering mid-term. The answer was so "profound" that theProfessor shared it with colleagues, and the sharing obviously hasn'tceased...
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) orEndothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote Proofs of theirbeliefs using Boyle's Law, (gas cools off when it expands and heatswhen it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrotethe following: "First, we need to know how the mass of Hell ischanging in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are movinginto Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safelyassume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, nosouls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let uslook at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some ofthese religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religionsand since people do not belong to more than one religion, we canproject that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as theyare, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increaseexponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume inHell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature andpressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand assouls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expandingat a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then thetemperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaksloose. 2. Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than theincrease of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will dropuntil Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulategiven to me by Teresa Banyan during my Freshman year, "...that it willbe a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you.", and take into accountthe fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relationswith her, then, #2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell isexothermic and will not freeze." This student received the only A.
