"Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)"

So you sailed away
Into a grey sky morning
Now I'm here to stay
Love can be so boring
Nothing's quite the same now
I just say your name now

[Chorus]
But it's not so bad
You're only the best I ever had
You don't want me back
You're just the best I ever had

So you stole my world
Now I'm just a phony
Remembering the girl
Leaves me down and lonely
Send it in a letter
Make yourself feel better

[Chorus]
But it's not so bad
You're only the best I ever had
You don't need me back
You're just the best I ever had

And it may take some time to
Patch me up inside
But I can't take it so I
Run away and hide
And I may find in time that
You were always right
You're always right
So you sailed away
Into a grey sky morning
Now I'm here to stay
Love can be so boring
What was it you wanted
Could it be I'm haunted

[Chorus]
But it's not so bad
You're only the best I ever had
I don't want you back
You're just the best I ever had
The best I ever had
The best I ever

Beautiful
by Creed

She wears a coat of color

Loved by some,

feared by others

She’s immortalized in young men’s eyes

Lust she breeds in the eyes of brothers

Violent sons make bitter mothers

So close your eyes, heres your surprise

Beautiful is empty

Beautiful is free

Beautiful loves no one

Beautiful stripped me

In your mind she’s your companion

Vile instincts often candid

Your regret is all thats left

She told me where I’m going

And its far away from home

I think I’ll go there on my own

Hello folks,
with the response we had from the last post (the debate still continues) iv decided to put up another, again something that began between me and mina :p (we just dont agree on ANYTHING)
:)

here goes

does the fact that an artist (or a band) not write there own songs make them untalented? My point of view in particularly with vocal artists is that singing is in itself a talent, as is the style that they blend with their voice. Minas was that its just not personal enough and that anyone can sing (if iv got your opinion wrong minz please correct me).

Ehsan... i expect you to take a part in this... ;)

lets hear it

A Perfect Circle has really blown me away... their album emotive shows such a variation of different styles it is really absolutely amazing. Fiddle and the Drum is a duet with no instruments and has tinges of Simon and Garfunkle somewhere in there while Annihilation is a peice with a bell like keyboard and no otherinstruments and the entire lyrics are whispered into the mike to create an incredibly haunting effect... its like tension that is created and never released... i mean at any point in the song im expecting screaming guitar riffs to come into play but the song comes, the song continues and the song ends and the guitars never come... its wow.

A Perfect Circle - Fiddle And The Drum Lyrics

And so once again
My dear Johnny my dear friend
And so once again you are fightin' us all
And when I ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry, and I fall
Oh, my friend
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum
You say I have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But I can remember
All the good things you are
And so I ask you please
Can I help you find the peace and the star
Oh, my friend
What time is this
To trade the handshake for the fist
And so once again
Oh, America my friend
And so once again
You are fighting us all
And when we ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry and we fall
Oh, my friend
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum
You say we have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But we can remember
All the good things you are
And so we ask you please
Can we help you find the peace and the star
Oh my friend
We have all come
To fear the beating of your drum

A Perfect Circle - Annihilation Lyrics

From dehumanization to arms production,
For the benefit of the nation or its destructionPower,

power, the law of the land,
Those living for death will die by their own hand,

Life's no ordeal if you come to terms,
Reject the system dictating the norms

From dehumanization to arms production,
To hasten the nation towards its destruction

Power, power, the law of the land,
Those living for death will die by their own hand,

Life's no ordeal if you come to terms,
Reject the system dictating the norms

From dehumanization to arms production,
To hasten the nation towards its destruction

Power, power, the law of the land,
Those living for death will die by their own hand,

Life's no ordeal if you come to terms,
Reject the system dictating the norms

From dehumanization to arms production,
To hasten this nation towards its destruction,

It's your choice, your choice, your choice, your choice,
Peace or annihilation...
okay

firstly sorry for not having posted in ages, the internet connection of my entire COUNTRY was down (and you gotta know that thats just SAD) so we werent able to log on.

with that out of the way

considering the fact that no one comments on my blog (cause i hardly ever update it i know i know) i wanna invite you guys to argue on something that me and mina started on.

Do you think its important to think of yourself as an artist, because it would push you as an artist to work harder etc, or do you believe that its detrimental to think of yourself as an artist, because it would make you feel too comfortable in the role, you get cushy, and you stop pushing yourself.

in particularly i wanna hear minas and alis opinions on this.
