hmmm.. you know what our problem is? Artists (dare i call myself one... aspiring artist perhaps.. nothing more), writers, funny man (you two know who you are ;) we all have this ONE fundamental problem.

People tell us were talented, almost every other day of our life.

Thats not saying we ARe talented... i sure know exactly the amount of blood and sweat iv put into trying to find the perfect line and still havent found it... TALENT is a deaf composer who composes by his perception of vibration. And five hundred years later we sit and listen and marvel and the beauty of the sound. Talent is in catching that perfect frame that lasts a lifetime. Talent is painting portraits... three different faces one on top of another keeping nothing but the EYES constant to give your FINAl charecter meaning.... thats talent.
but i degress (as usual)

The problem, ladies and gentelman, is that we are constantly Told we are talented.

What results is a laziness, a laziness justified in the belief that dear Lord, WE are Talented! We believe that dear lord, this holy light resides inside of us and it will always shine and because of this lite we no longer need to practice our trade because dear lord... we have the LIGHT. We begin to refer to ourselves as artists, which i personally believe is the first
step to absolute degeneration. What we NEED to do... is loose all faith in ourselves, realise that you know what... we aint really da shit. We need to realise that even if a speck of that light exists, we need to blow on it and nurture that flame if we ever want it to survive. We need to realise that we cant just sit back and say oh jeee.. hum to talented log hein...

We need to put our blood sweat and tears into everything we do, if we want to be real...
